About Ángela Ávila & Roy Montejano
Ángela Ávila and Roy Montejano have been dancing, teaching, and sharing their passion for Argentine Tango since 1999. With more than 25 years of experience, they are dedicated to preserving the authentic tradition of Tango de Pista (Salon Tango) while creating a welcoming environment for dancers of all levels.
Their teaching philosophy is built on three essential principles: connection, refined technique, and the joy of dancing tango. They believe that strong fundamentals create confident, expressive dancers who can enjoy the social dance floor anywhere in the world.
About Our Classes
Our classes focus on Tango de Pista, the social style of Argentine Tango danced in milongas throughout the world. Rather than teaching isolated patterns, we offer progressive class series that allow students to build a strong foundation while developing the skills needed to become confident social dancers.
Our structured curriculum helps students:

- Improve posture, balance, embrace, and partner connection.

As dance studios across San Antonio went into lockdown, Angela and Roy quickly pivoted to offering private lessons at their house studio in Castle Hills.
Because the studio is in a neighborhood, we need to follow some guidance.
- In order to reserve your private lessons, you MUST pay in full before we can give you the address of the house studio.
Whether you are a beginner who is curious about the dance or a couple wanting a routine for their first dance, anniversary, birthday, or special occasion, there is nothing like one-on-one instruction with a certified Argentine Tango professional to help you achieve your dance goals.
Private lessons are by appointment only and paid for in advance. Cancelations with less than 24 hours notice shall be forfeited without credit or refund.
