As a tango instructor in the San Antonio Community, I have been waiting more than 20 years to fulfill my dream of organizing the San Antonio Tango Festival. This would not have been possible, first of all, without the love and support of my husband Roy Montejano and second, without the dedication and expertise of my professional tango partner Jairelbhi Furlong towards this project.

 

Organizing events of this magnitude requires the help from not only strong leaders, but from our sponsors, volunteers, and tango community members from far and near that willingly came to our aid. I therefore would like to thank one-and-all from the bottom of my heart for your dedication and support of this First SA Tango Festival. I appreciate all the supportive comments and messages many of you have sent us. You give us the energy and optimism to continue to create events like this one for the enjoyment of all tango dancers for years to come.
